Gee! We have a local TV station?
GTV is a new form of local TV stations popping up here and there.
Sometimes called Global TV or even (incorrectly) Google TV, they are local stations serving smaller towns and communities.
Unlike old-fashioned analog TV stations or the newer digital HD TV stations, GTV stations have a Global reach. You can watch your home towns GTV station while on vacation, traveling on business or when stationed over seas. You can even watch it on the International Space Station.

What Is GTV?
It's actually an old concept, local TV stations have always helped towns grow and prosper by attracting people to their towns, businesses and civic events.
Before digital TV, smaller towns couldn't have a TV station because of the limited number of channel frequencies.
Digital TV changes that. Now every town can have a TV station.
